Gorgeously Green

After my decision of seriously going green with skin care I have been searching, collecting and looking at facts, rules, restrictions, different brands and much more. It has been and still is very interesting I must say.  To be labeled as certified organic cosmetics and personal care product there are guidelines to be followed. Not all brands that say their product are ecological or organic really lives up to that standard. They might have a few certified organic/ecological ingredients but that is all. And to be honest if you want to use a product that says it is ecological , you do want it to be just that at the highest level you can reach.

According to the Soil Association a minimum of  95%  of all ingredients must be certified organic.

These are the facts I have been taking a closer look at:

Certified ingredients
Restricted ingredients
Suspect substances
Unacceptable ingredients
Active ingredients
Inactive ingrdients

A lot of Latin, Chemical terms and International terms for the ingredients ; ) but as I say it is very educational.

Sources:

ECOCERT
BDIH
The Soil Association
Ecolabels
Nordic Swan Mark

Some of the brands I have been looking into:

Green People
Logona
Lavera
Dr Hauschka
John Masters
Bentley Organics
Greenland
Loccitane
Organic Surge
Rapsodine (Miafrid)
Björk & Berries
Dermanord

And so I will keep on learning more about going green and testing products to find (hopefully) what is right for me and my needs. One thing is for sure ; ) it will have to be certified organic =)

That also goes for household cleaning, I really read the labels of the products very carefully nowadays.  Even though  I try to chose ecological food, sometimes the prices of those products are way higher than the normal food prices and that what makes it a bit hard to only be able stick to organic food.

  2. Hej!

    Hej Tina!
